Ford Cortina 3.0 XR6 – Genuine Ford Model built in South Africa Very Solid Original Car £9,750.00 (No VAT) Make Ford Model Cortina Year 1983 Transmission — Fuel Petrol Engine Size 3,000 ccm Mileage 78,000 Miles Emission class — Ford Cortina Mk5 3.0 XR6, genuine South African factory built car. We brought this in a few years back and sold it to a well known Cortina enthusiast. He used it for a while and did some upgrades including changing it to electtonic ignition before moving it on to another cortina collector. We ended up doing a deal with a pick up and were more than happy to take it as a trade in as we knew the car and knew it was a good genuine example. It’s a very solid car with all the right bits on it. These are very rare with probably only a handful in the UK. Just passed its MOT and ready to drive awayBody – Cortina XR6. Being a South African built 3.0 this has a 5 link rear end with a panhard rod as standard. Has all the correct colour scheme and features including front and rear spoilers, Ronal wheels, rear window louvre, seats and colour coded bumpers. When we got it back there were a couple of minor bits starting to need attention so we got them properly repaired. This was a bubble on the scuttle panel, repair on the lower rear quarter and rear panel round the exhaust. Paintwork is very nice, Car is straight and solid, very good underneath apart from a few dents on the jacking points. Mechanics – Factory fitted 3.0 Essex V6 with 4 speed box, Starts runs and drives as it should. Good brakes, clutch. Just passed its MOT with no advisories. Factory fitted 5 link rear end so it handles much better than the Uk versions. Interior – Again all factory original with strobe pattern roll top style seats. No rips or tears Wheels – Ronal Alloys which were an option on the XR6 and standard fitment on the Cortina InterceptorThis is a very rare car and with prices going up in SA im not sure how many more will make it over here. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required.
