Here is my Mk2 Golf 2.8 V6 VR6. I purchased this car (already converted) almost 10 years ago. Originally built on a 1.8 Driver automatic (old lady car). I have used it just for a fun weekend car and for the occasional track day. No more than 5 or 6 track day’s in the 10 years. Every time it runs like a dream all day, embarrassing very expensive sports cars and drives home perfectly at the end of the day. This car is mechanically fantastic and goes and sounds incredible. Rare in Montana Green, this car is totally solid throughout. Built on a wide track Mk3 platform (5 stud wheels), the car has had thousands spent on it such as: Spax fully adjustable coilovers Black diamond front brake discs and yellow stuff padsBraided brake hosesDrilled rear brake discs OBX-R racing six branch manifoldSupersprint Magnum exhaust – not too loud OMP steering wheelOMP 4 point harnesses. Professionally welded in mounting eyes2 Auto Style reclining bucket seatsProfessionally fabricated rear strut brace4 new wheels with Michelin tyres, sadly my mechanic curbed one!2 other sets of wheels available by separate negotiation (BBS and Corrado speedline)Interior completely stripped other than door panels and Mk3 dash Whilst it looks awesome and gets attention everywhere it goes it is not a show car in any respect. It has been used as a track day car and has kissed a tyre wall at Castle Combe on the drivers side. The rear corners have bubbling, but wasn’t much different 10 years ago. The speedo stopped working recently so I have included a replacement that needs fitting. The car has only done 9,000 miles in the last 10 years and has had 5 oil changes. Kept in a garage during my ownership. I have no idea what it is worth as I can’t find anything similar to compare it with, so I have decided to go with an auction. It is advertised on a MK2 VR6 forum, but inviting offers. Pictures taken today
